The Circle of Prayer belongs to no one yet it belongs to everyone. It belongs to those who join in the prayer, it belongs to those whose intentions and needs are included and it belongs to those who are not even aware it exists. Ownership implies responsibility and commitment, and I vow to carry that, but it also implies interest. Membership of any group, in the loosest sense of the word, generally brings with it an interest in its growth and development.

Someone has to take overall responsibility for editing what comes in, and I have no doubt that there will be plenty. With God's Good Help I will do that. All completed forms come directly to me and there are no autoresponders (automatic replies). This seems to have grown into a Weekly Reflections 'newsletter' where we look at areas in our lives and in the world that might need prayers of healing. It also includes a list of all the prayer requests that have come in during the week.

There is a page to send in your prayer Intentions and these will be added to the Prayerbook or the Prayers of Thanksgiving. The form for these requests also has an option to receive a monthly update on our growth. Many of you may never enter a prayer request but will join in the prayers. If you would like to know how we are developing please just send us your name (if you wish), your email address and your location and once a month you will receive an update.

I'm afraid I've used the snakey marketer's tactic of including a button with Yes or No options to subscribe, so that the Yes button is already pre-set! Those who join the Circle of Prayer have probably already left the Yes button as is and if so don't need to complete this little form. Mea Culpa!

Travel on my journeys to two of Canada's most famous Catholic Shrines - Saint Anne de Beaupré and Cap de la Madeleine, both on the shores of the Saint Lawrence river in Quebec. Finally I welcome you to come with me to see a little of Medugorje, a peaceful haven in a war-torn country - Bosnia-Herzogovina.
