Thoughts: I just found your site and it is absolutely wonderful.  Never have I found all in one place so much information about the Most Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary. I have been praying the rosary daily since Mother's Day of this year and what a difference it has made in my life. Thank you!!!!!
From Jackie in Circleville, Ohio

Thoughts: Dear Mary, Oh, and I do love the Stations!!!  My church, St. Joseph's here in Circleville, does a public reading of the stations every Friday of Lent. Each week is done by a different group - the K of C, the youth, my Sunday School class, etc.  It is very easy to follow and not the least bit
"threatening" to a non-Catholic.  If non-Catholic people are reluctant to go to a Catholic church because they "might do something wrong" - they could call their local church and see when they have these public readings and attend.  I know my church would WELCOME others to join us!  If they asked for their church group to attend together, I'm sure the priest would welcome them and even have a time before the service to explain what was going to happen so the people would not feel uncomfortable.
What a blessing the stations are to me. I cry every time - but they are tears of gratitude and joy - gratitude for the gift of the Life of Christ to me and joy that he is NOT in that tomb for all time - but alive in our world.  Praise God!!!
Have a great week! Jackie Rose Circleville, Ohio, USA
P.S. There are a number of LOVELY station readings on the internet! Some with beautiful art work!

Thoughts: ALMIGHTY GOD, GIVE ME THE WISDOM TO UNDERSTAND MY PROFESSION [LAW]; ITS TOOLS, THE LANGUAGE OF LAW AND EFFECTIVELY AND EFFICIENTLY USE IT TO SERVE HUMANITY. MAY I USE TO PUT SMILE ON THE FACES OF THE UNDEFENDED, HOPELESS AND THOSE THAT DO HAVE A VOICE....OGE

Thoughts: This is a really nice site.  My church is going to have a day of memorial with the Rosary being said quite often throughout the day...some of the folks who volunteered to lead the Rosary, know quite well how to say it on their own, but were questioning what to do when saying in a group.  I was glad to find your page with the prayers outlined in different colors...this is a gread idea and I plan to print out several copies for the folks to use.  I especially like the "Trimmings"!  Very nice site!!! Thanks!

Thoughts: I think that this is a hard enough time for any one in this prediciment. Pictures will not help. They need an outlet to believe that someone is on the oposite end to talk with. Don't make them afaid or shame them into something. This issue is real and difficult. If you haven't been there, you need not be here now.

Thoughts: My name is Fr. Terry Gensemer and I am a priest in the Charismatic Episcopal Church. I will be coming to Ireland later this month with a group of young people who will be doing Pro-life work and training in Dublin. We will also be taking a side trip to Galway and are very interested in the monastaries you talk about on your site. Could you give me any info on how best to visit these sites? We will be in Galway Feb. 27-March 1. Blessings and Peace, Rev. Canon Terry Gensemer+

Thoughts: I would like to see some healing and coping strategies for women who choose to keep children born due to rape.  It's a hard decision to make and there isn't much information about this topic out there.  Something about how husband's can learn to live with the knowlege that their wife's child was born through rape could be helpful too.  Thanks!

Thoughts: What is freemasonry?  Has Mary ever warned the Catholic about it?  What does the Church teach on it?
From Ernest in Pembroke, Ontario

Thoughts: Hello.  Just a general comment.  I don't understand why so many people are attracted to Medjugorge, where visions have not received the approvsl of the Church... are some people just bent on going against teaching authority?  We have here in North America what is probably the world's most iumportant centre of Marian devotion (Guadalupe). and yet so very few people seem to know about it.  It's only four hours from Toronto by jet plane.  The new basilica is beautiful, and in has Canadian wooden panels and an organ donated by Canadians! But people want to go to Medjugorge... I don't understand.
From Silvia in Reno, NV

Thoughts: A friend of mine is being challenged by her niece regarding communications from the Spiritual World, where her recently deceased husband transitioned too.  The niece states the Bible indicates such communication with the deceased is really Satin's temptations and communications.  We disagree.  Could you assist in providing us Bible passages and information that dispute Judy's nieces' claims?  Thank you, Silvia.
From Viviane in England

Thoughts: very disturbed to hear from a friend in Portugal that there aree designs to turn the shrine at Fatima is to become an interfaith shrine .  all the religions of the world will gather there to pray"TO THEIR VARIOUS GODS "Am I a fanatic ? but surely if anyone wants to or chooses to go there it should be to pray to our Lady and not to any other Deity...Please help me to come to terms with this because I feel it is sacrilege... Thank you and keep me in your prayers In Jesus, Viviane

Thoughts: Well hello good morning.I want to know if you have the prayer of the chaplet of the divine mercy?
From Wayne in Indiana

Thoughts: I'm concerned that this website doesn't give the full historical truth.  I have been researching "The Great Western Schism" and though I believe its onset was for selfish, humanly reasons...the explanation does not mention the people burned at the stake...all in the name of protecting Catholicism's oppressive hold...I am struggling to understand the Catholic church's reluctance to open their collective eyes and speak the truth about the historical events that haunt the Church yet today.  I have seen the American Catholic move further and further from papal authority...Why wouldn't the hard-working value based morality of good Americans be upset with the rampant abuses of the priests...not just the systemic homosexual pedophiles hiding behind the cloth...but all the underhanded corrupt activities that the Catholic Church, formerly my church, continues to sweep under the rug...I think it is because, just as in the days of Galileo, the Church is stubborn and attempts to keep a strangle-hold on the truth...a monopoly, if you will on the "righteousness" of man. It is sad because this failure to attend to the needs of the full congregation has spawned many reformers.  Will there come a day when reformers are called American Catholic?  Please help me to understand...I don't and haven't heard much truth lately...

Thoughts: I saw your pictures of aborted babies, and being a survivour of abortion, I feel like a murderer. How can we justify the slaughter of these tiny souls?
From Lisa in Cleveland, Eorgiaa

Thoughts: Thank you for your commentary against the war.  I share your feelings, but they are not popular in this country.
From Clare in County Roscommon, Ireland

Thoughts: I am already a member but just thought ii'd share these two rather nice prayers one is a short thankyou prayer and the other is an old irish night prayer that my gran who died just before last Christmas taught me when i was only four years old and would say with me everynight i was with her it is now almost a ritual and i find myself saying it everynight and am passing it on to my own children. Anyway it covers eveything i think so here goes and perhaps you can share them with the prayer circle if you see fit.
1ST THE SHORT THANK-YOU PRAYER CAN BE SAID ANYTIME. I WAS TOLD THIS PRAYER IN 1989 IN MEDUGORJE, YUGOSLAVIA.I THOUGHT IT WAS SWEEET.
THANK-YOU GOD
I thank-you God for little things that often come our way. The things we take for granted and don't mention when we pray. The unexpected courtisies, a thought-ful kindly word, a hand reached out to help us in times of sudden need. Oh, Make us more aware Dear Lord of little daily graces that come to us with Sweet surprise!!!from never dreamed of places. (In Memory of my Gran & Grandad May they and all the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace, Amen)
NIGHT PRAYER
Night is falling Dear Mother and the long day is o're.And before your loved image we are kneeling once more to thank-you for keeping us safe through this day and to ask thee this night to keep all evil away. Many times have i fallen today mother dear many graces negelected, since last i knealt here. oh look down out of pity my own Mother mild and as ask Jesus to par in the sins of your child. I am going to rest now for the long day is ore, its hours and its moments have passed one by one. The God that will judge us has counted each Fall and has numbered each fault In his book they are written against the last day, Oh Mother as Jesus to wash them away from one drop of his blood in itself is sufficent to cleanse the whole world from its sins. And If ever at dawn i should draw my last breadth and the sleep that i take be the long sleep of rest.Oh! Be near me dear mother, for Jesus's dear sake when our souls on lifes eternities shores shall awake.

Thoughts: I have been searching for a site exactly like this for quite some time. I belong to the Wednesday Prayer Group in my church (Reformation Lutheran), and I have a great reputation with so many people as "THE" one to call with your prayer requests. I did not say that from any kind of self-centered point of view - it is simply that I believe SO STRONGLY AND FAITHFULLY in the power of prayer that I profess it openly and freely wherever I go. The more people praying for any particular subject, the more POWER. I have a list of 5 people, each one has their own prayer chain, as I have mine, and I call each person every day with the new prayer requests. In any case, I did not mean to go on so long, I wrote for a particular reason, and I hope you can help me. Obviously to me, the Circle of Prayer's content is based on Roman Catholic doctrine. I am a devout Lutheran for my entire life. I, personally, do not believe in intercessary prayer. I pray to God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit -- only. In no way am I condemning or judging your beliefs -- I believe whatever works for each person is righteous in God's eyes. Intercessary prayer does not work for me, that is all I am saying.
Would you happen to know of any websites similar to yours, with the exception of intercessary prayers? I have no problem with anyone praying intercessary prayers for me, and for others, if that's what they believe in. What concerns me here is that the prayers you suggest I pray, within your chain, contain intercessary prayers, as I noticed it in the very first prayer I saw at the top of your HomePage. Do you offer non-denominational Christian prayers as an alternative to the Roman Catholic-indoctrined prayers on your website? I'll be honest with you, if you do not offer non-denominational prayers, I will still sign up here, and I will very simply change the words within the prayers that I have a problem with. But when it comes to Rosary prayers, or any other prayers which feature Roman Catholicism, I simply can not and will not pray any prayer that is I don't have faith in. I am sure you understand where I am coming from, and I sincerely hope and pray I have not offended anyone here in any way at all. If I have, please forgive me, you know my intentions were not to do that.  I simply want to have access to the types of prayers I have strongest faith in, hence, giving me the optimal power I believe I get when I pray MY prayers from MY heart. Thank you so much for your time in reading this 'tome'!!! Seems I always get carried away when I'm writing something about the Lord. God bless you all. Leslie
Our first sharing comes from Thomas in Iowa

"My Dear ones in God... I do have something of a question to share. It's a bit difficult to explain. I think I might have the beginnings of a healing ministry on my hands. I think of myself as a wounded healer in that I do not think that Jesus will remove my difficulties. I am asked to suffer willingly and in exchange I have been allowed at times to do what I call minor healings. The two that come to mind most readily are the removal of a migrane headache of a friend through the laying on of my hands and the removal of arthritis from the hand of another friend by the same means. I have been unable to obtain guidance on this issue and am not sure how to proceed other than to keep praying about it. There is something else you should know...I am charasmatic. If it is possible I would like guidence with this because I do not wish to hinder the will of God in any way nor do I wish to be in error about what the will of God is in my case. Any help with this is deeply appreciated by me. Bless you all..."

If you would like to offer a sharing or respond to any of those here please don't hesitate to share your thoughts and I will pass them on.

Moytura has several other sites with a 'Christian flavour'. Prayerful Thoughts & Thoughtful Prayers is a little collection of prayers and thought-provoking stories, and a few links to some other really nice websites. Reflections for Lent offers a daily meditation for the 40 days of lent and the week leading into Easter. As part of my Journey section of the website join me to learn a little of the Early Christian Church in Ireland by visiting Clonmacnoise, founded by St. Ciaran on the banks of the River Shannon in the 6th. Century. Read about Saint Brendan the Navigator who started a Monastic settlement in the tiny village of Clonfert in the 6th century, located on the Galway/Offaly/Tipperary border. Travel on my journeys to two of Canada's most famous Catholic Shrines - Saint Anne de Beaupré and Cap de la Madeleine, both on the shores of the Saint Lawrence river in Quebec. Finally I welcome you to come with me to see a little of Medugorje, a peaceful haven in a war-torn country - Bosnia-Herzogovina.
