|The Rosary is
the simplest yet most profound of prayers. In the words of Saint Louis
de Montfort "It is a priceless treasure which is inspired by God." The
Rosary is made up of two things: mental prayer and vocal prayer. In the
Rosary mental prayer is none other than meditation of the chief mysteries
of the life, death and glory of Jesus Christ and of his blessed Mother.
Vocal prayer consists in saying twenty decades of the Hail Mary, each decade
headed by an Our Father, while at the same time meditating on and contemplating
the principal virtues which Jesus and Mary practised in the twenty mysteries
of the Rosary.
On October 16th 2002 Pope John Paul II introduced a new Mystery called the Mysteries of Light or the Luminous Mysteries. Read what he had to say regarding the new mystery in his Apostolic Letter:
The Rosary is a prayer that can be said alone in peaceful quiet, with others, with the family, with groups, with whole congragations and even in full sports stadiums. It can be prayed in its simplest form, dedicating each decade to the mystery that is being prayed, or as a Spiritual Rosary where a small piece of scripture about the decade being said is included.
This section of the website focusses on various aspects of the Rosary. It is a prayer that is as old as the Christian Church itself in that each decade offers meditation on the birth, life, death and resurection of Jesus Christ and the role of Mary, His Mother, during His lifetime and after His death and resurection.
It is a prayer form seen as predominantly Catholic. But before the Reformation, the Rosary was being preached and prayed across Europe. Jesus loves to hear a Rosary prayed in respect and reverence, as it acknowledges the purpose of His life on earth - our salvation from sin through His crucifixion and our redemption through His resurection.
Craige Storms has started a Marian Men's Catholic Site and has also started a Forum for Marian Catholic Husbands They have permission to use the MMP Online Prayer Room The purpose of the group is to join in Cenacles of Prayer as Our Lady has asked. "Multiply in every part of the world, the cenacles of prayer which I have asked of you, like torches lit in the night, like sure points of reference, like shelters needed and sought for."(417k, Jan. 1, 1990) They meet daily @ 10pm M-F
In His 'conversations' with Denis O'Leary, a Cork man who has written about his inner locutions of Our Divine Lord, Jesus asks us over and over::
"Allow My Mother into your lives more fully. Use her 'beads' as a great source of heavenly power. Satan recoils from them. He cannot bear their overwhelming strength".
"Pray the Rosary of My Beloved Mother. How many more times must we entreat you? It shall be your protection against all evil. It shall be especially protective during the great exorcism as many demons in their panic shall fly from soul to soul".
"Be faithful to the Rosary. Satan cowers before its power. With faith in My Mother's Rosary, you shall be fearless".
"Pray for strength to defend yourself and to gain the victory over the beast of evil. Pray the prayer of My Beloved Mother".
"I desire that great honour and proper respect be given to Mary the Immaculate One. She is the Mother of My Church ... the Mother of My beloved brothers and sisters. As the fourth law given to Moses was ... so must it always be".
"I beg of you, My children, to heed the word of My Blessed Mother as she speaks to you in these times. You must relise that it is My Mother's special mission to lead you to the final victory over the evil one. This you must believe!! Do not reject Her as your Queen! Do not reject Her as your Mother! Hold tightly in faith to Her Rosary so that She may protect you through Her Rosary. She shall lead you to conversion".
"Awake My chosen ones. Throw off this evil fabric of darkness and let My Mother lead you through this turmoil to My Father's Kingdom. Take up the armour of Her Rosary as you greatest weapon".
