Trying to run a website of this nature can be difficult and time is always of the essence. My work as a website designer was put on the back-burner to concentrate on trying to devote more time to the Circle of Prayer and another little work with which I have become involved. Realising the urgent need to encourage as many people as possible to pray for each other and for the world must, in these difficult times, takes precendent over any financial gain from working. And yet body and soul must be kept together!

In 2002 I started 'working' with a little Apostolate called the Holy Souls Crusade. This little organisation has grown enormously over the 5 years, with members now in 40 different countries. In 2006 we organised our first large pilgrimage for the Souls in Purgatory to Garabandal in Northern Spain, bringing 105 pilgrims to this 'forgotten Marian Apparition' site.

In 2007 we added in the Divine Mercy Shrine and in August of 2007 62 pilgrims travelled to Poland. staying 4 nights at the Shrine of the Divine Mercy and 3 nights in Auschwitz, 'following in the footsteps of Pope John Paul II'. It was a wonderful week!
In October of 2007 we brought 55 pilgrims back to Garabandal and in November of 2007 another 50 pilgrims travelled to the Shrine of the Divine Mercy, just outside of the beautiful city of Krakow. These pilgrimages could well be a regular feature of the work we do for the Holy Souls.

As a means of fundraising for the work of the Crusade we put together a set of little prayer booklets and some reading material on Purgatory. Many of you reading this may not believe in Purgatory, yet it makes perfect sense to have this place or time of reparation for the sins we have committed during our lives and that either have not been forgiven or atoned for. We know from Scripture that '...nothing unclean shall enter...' and yet our faults and failing are not enough to earn us eternal damnation. What then for us when we face our Divine Creator? When we see our immortal souls as the Lord sees us, we know we are not yet ready to spend eternity with Him, hence a time of 'cleansing' - Purgatory - a place/time of His Great Mercy!   |

No longer having a regular income and spending much of my time (and money) at both Apostolates - The Circle of Prayer and The Holy Souls Crusade - has left me 'scraping the bottom of the barrel' when it comes to finances. Your generosity in buying some of the little publications we have put together will help hugely in both works. Please take a look at what is on offer from the links below

Moytura has several other sites with a 'Christian flavour'. Prayerful Thoughts & Thoughtful Prayers is a little collection of prayers and thought-provoking stories, and a few links to some other really nice websites. Reflections for Lent offers a daily meditation for the 40 days of lent and the week leading into Easter. As part of my Journey section of the website join me to learn a little of the Early Christian Church in Ireland by visiting Clonmacnoise, founded by St. Ciaran on the banks of the River Shannon in the 6th. Century. Read about Saint Brendan the Navigator who started a Monastic settlement in the tiny village of Clonfert in the 6th century, located on the Galway/Offaly/Tipperary border. Travel on my journeys to two of Canada's most famous Catholic Shrines - Saint Anne de Beaupré and Cap de la Madeleine, both on the shores of the Saint Lawrence river in Quebec. Finally I welcome you to come with me to see a little of Medugorje, a peaceful haven in a war-torn country - Bosnia-Herzogovina. Please also pay a visit to  Moytura's Irish Bookshop where you can find books on the history of Christianity in IrelandIrish Prayers and Celtic Christianity
