On their way along the road they met with Milka and Ivanka begged her two friends to come back with her to see if the figure was still there. They did so and they too saw the figure bathed in light. Another friend, Vicka, had gone looking for the girls and when they waved at her shouting what they were witnessing, she ran away, upset at being teased about something so serious. She met two local village lads, both called Ivan, one 16, the other 20, and together they went to see what all the commotion was about. The children prayed, some cried and after a while they returned to their homes and told their families of the day's events.

The following day each felt the urge to return but Mikla's parents refused to allow her to go and sent her to the other side of the village on a chore. Mirija, her sister was at home and went with the others instead, along with her 10 year old cousin, Jacov who was visiting at the time. Ivan Ivankovic (20) stayed away thinking it 'childish stuff'. In all on the afternoon of June 25th six of the village's children started out on a journey of such importance to the whole world, that it continues to this day.

Jacov was the youngest at 10; Ivanka, 15; Mirjana, 16; Ivan, 16; Mirija, 17; and Vicka, 17 - the children who were blessed to carry the heavenly messages from Our Lady to the whole world - all who would listen and pay heed.  From 1st of March 1984, every Thursday until June of 1987, mainly through the visionary Marija Pavlovi, Our Lady gave her messages on a weekly basis. For almost 15 years now Marija passes on Our Lady's message every month on the 25th of the month to the whole world.

She told them she was The Queen of Peace, calling for conversion of the parish and reconciliation among each other. She appeared to them on a daily basis passing on a set of secrets over a period of time, as She did in Fatima. But over the years She had given the full 10 secrets to some of the visionaries telling them they would see Her only once a year thereafter, each one on a special occasion.

At this point in time (November 2002) only three of the visionaries see her on a daily basis - Marija who passes on Our Lady's monthly message, Ivan and Vicka. All of the visionaries are now married, most having families of their own, with Viska expecting her first child in January. Our Lady appears to the remaining three at the same time every day, 6-40 pm GMT+1) regardless of where in the world any of them happen to be.

(The Catholic Church, in its wisdom has not pronounced on these apparitions but has the phenomena under investigation and no official statement has yet been forthcoming. As always, the Church has acted with great prudence toward recent apparitions. However, private pilgrimage to Medugorje is not discouraged.)

I've had the privilege of being able to travel to Medugorje three times and the peace and prayer there is amazing. The link tells of my first visit in June of 1998. The numbers of people who are bringing the Fruits of Medugorje home in their hearts and spreading the messages are into the millions. The spiritual and physical healings taking place are a testimony to the Hand of God working in this place. The numbers of people attending confession, some for the first time in many years, is astonishing - their own conversion of the heart.

Can millions of people be wrong and deceived?
