The Marina D'Or Resort
is located in the Costa del Alhazar, known as the Orange Blossom Coast,
which boasts acres of orange and almond groves, as well as sandy beaches.
This beautiful coastline of Spain still retains the peace and quiet of
a new tourist spot, being free of the large influx of foreign visitors
more associated with Costa Blanca and Costa del Sol. And yet it houses
all the amenities for visitors - fabulous beaches, Spain's largest Seawater
Health Spa, golf courses, a theme park (soon to be completed) and an airport
nearby (8 km away in Castellón expected to be completed in 2010)
See the list of just some of the sports facilities available in the resort. In Marina d'Or Holiday City - there are a range of wonderful leisure dacilities and services available. Don't miss the various fashion boutiques for men and women, or the accessory shops. There are also souvenir shops and a hairdresser, a bank and a post office. For everyday shopping, the supermarket has everything needed to make your self-carering holiday a success. There is also a fabulous shopping centre where you can spend a whole afternoon shopping. |

View our Photo Album of some of the gems to be found at each of the above. The Local Area Oropesa del mar started life as a picturesque fishing village on the east coast of Spain approximately 80 kilometers north of the beautifully historic city of Valencia. Featuring The Tower of the King, a great monument of defensive character that possesses Oropesa, nowadays one of the last known Valencian military buildings. Its aesthetics presents an unique, Renaissance style among the military architecture of the XVI century. Today Oropesa has grown in size and stature alongside the Fantastic development that is Marina D'Or, creating a bustling holiday town in the summer months and a quiet friendly village in the winter months. There are many towns and villages within short driving distances to create a holiday adventure you will always remember. (See our links in the locality page, or the maps page to print off and bring with you.) With over 300 days of beautiful sunshine here on the orange-blossom coast you are never far away from the lovely warm sunshine with average temperatures in summer around the 30 degree mark and in winter a chilly (for the spanish who have thin blood!) 10 degrees. |
